Parkview's deacon ministry helps meet the needs of those
in the congregation. Individuals in the hospital
are visited daily, and the deacon of the week is on call
throughout the week for any church needs. The
Deacons also minister to the church through the Deacon
Family Ministry. In the Deacon Family Ministry
each family at Parkview is assigned to a deacon who has
the task to minister to the specific needs of that
family. He builds a bond with all the families in
his ministry list while ministering to them in both
times of need and rejoicing in times of
blessing. This is a great ministry that
meets needs of each family within the church as well as
helping the members understand what a vital and
meaningful part of the church they are. The
Deacons host quarterly widows and widower luncheons. These luncheons are a time for
fellowship between the widows/widowers and the deacons
and their families. |
